Who i am in Christ
because of what He has done
I am reconciled with God…
Romans 5:10… For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we were reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19… All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
Colossians 1:21-22… And you,who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him.
Hebrews 10:19-22… Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Reconciliation, to bring into right standing, no longer enemies, no more hostility towards.
Everyone that is a believer can remember what it was like to be estranged from God. We wandered in our own selfishness, doing what we wanted, never considering the sin we were enjoying was costing us the most precious, beautiful, fulfilling and lifesaving relationship we would ever know. We never thought of the wrath of God’s anger against us in our sin, until the Holy Spirit drew us and we were obedient to his call and bent our knees in acknowledgement that we could not save ourselves, accepted Jesus the Christ as Saviour and surrendered all to Him. Then as we tasted and saw that the Lord is good, we can now say…
Your Blood, has washed away my sins,
Jesus thank You!
Your Father’s wrath, completely satisfied,
Jesus thank You!
Once Your enemy, now seated at Your table,
Jesus thank You!
In Christ,
